Soft Stripping Services

G & J Demolition Ltd provide the stripping out of the internals of buildings where precision and efficiency are essential.

Interior stripping activities include the removal of all temporary floors and ceilings, floor coverings, non-load bearing partitions, mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems including lighting, cables, cable trays, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and the disconnection and removal of utilities.

Our highly trained teams are experienced in carrying out ‘soft-strip’ on projects where there is a requirement for non-structural elements to be removed. We also work closely with main contractors to remove structural elements of a building where required.

We use soft-strip techniques where we can remove recyclable materials such as timber, metal and plastics, prior to the full demolition of the site or where a building is undergoing major refurbishment.

By carrying out a pre-demolition waste audit before soft-stripping the structure allows us to segregate waste materials and, as a licensed waste carrier, ensure that we maximize the amount of material that is recycled/reused.

We plan soft-stripping activities logically and systematically to ensure that site management is of the highest quality and efficiency.
