The controlled demolition of a two storey residential property, 36 Ardlui Gardens, Milngavie, down to ground level and removal of all demolition debris
The project involved the removal of asbestos containing materials, soft stripping and demolition of a two storey residential property, down to ground level and removal of all demolition debris by 360 degree tracked standard reach demolition excavator. All waste and demolition arisings were segregated at source and removed from site. Upon completion the building footprint was free from all demolition materials and debris and graded to existing ground levels.
The works included:
- Removal and disposal Hazardous and non-hazardous material;
- Removal of existing building superstructure;
- Disposal of all demolition material in accordance with current legislation and good practice;
- Grading to existing ground levels.
THE TEAM & OUTCOMES
The team was led by a contract manager, who was supported by a demolition supervisor, a machine operator and banksman. Completed on time, within budget and with no quality, H&S or environmental issues.
